Q:  What is your view on the current situation in Indonesia?

A:  As a friendly neighbor, China follows very closely the development of situation in Indonesia and sincerely hopes that stability will be maintained in Indonesia, which is not only conducive to ethnic unity of Indonesia, but is also in the interest of economic recovery and development of Indonesia.  We believe that the Indonesian Government and people certainly have the capability and wisdom to overcome difficulties.  The Chinese Government will, as it has always done, support the unremitting efforts by Indonesia to safeguard national unity and stability.
