Ambassador Liu Jianchao Pays a Courtesy Call on the Indonesian Cabinet Secretary

On March 14, the Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia Mr. Liu Jianchao paid a courtesy call on Mr. Dipo Alam, the Cabinet Secretary of Indonesia. The two sides had friendly exchange of views on bilateral relations, economic cooperation and trade, as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Liu said, currently the countries have maintained a friendly relationship. The upcoming state visit to China by President SBY is of great significance to the development of bilateral ties. The Chinese leaders are looking forward to the meeting with President SBY. The Chinese side will make close coordination with Indonesia to ensure the success of the visit. Indonesia is a major developing country with great influence in the world. China is ready to enhance communication and coordination with Indonesia to jointly promote peace and development of the region.

Mr. Dipo Alam expressed his gratitude to the Chinese side for the preparation work for President SBY's state visit. He believes that the visit will further enhance the comprehensive development of the bilateral friendship. Indonesia regards China as an important strategic partner and is dedicated to the mutual support and coordination with China in regional and international affairs. Indonesia welcomes China's continuous participation in the economic development of Indonesia so as to realize mutual benefit.
