Chinese and Indonesian Medical Experts Successfully Held 3rd COVID-19 Video Conference

On 5th June, under the auspices of Chinese National Health Commission (NHC), National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine of China (NATCM), Indonesian Ministry of State-owned Enterprise and Indonesian Ministry of Health, Chinese medical experts from the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Xiyuan Hospital affiliated to China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences and Beijing Ditan Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University have joined experts from over 90 major hospitals, universities and traditional medicine associations across Indonesia to hold the 3rd video conference specifically on the treatment of COVID-19 patients with traditional medicine.

In his remarks, Indonesian Vice Minister of State-owned Enterprise Mr. Budi Gunadi extended congratulations on the success of the conference and expressed hope that China and Indonesia, both populous countries with rich bio-diversity, would strengthen exchanges and cooperation on traditional medicine, all for the well-being of the two peoples.

As entrusted by Chinese Ambassador Xiao Qian, Science Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Jakarta Mr. Yi Fanping extended cordial appreciation to medical experts from both countries for their thoughtful preparation and dedication on behalf of Ambassador Xiao Qian and the Chinese Embassy. He hoped medical experts from both sides would strengthen cooperation in traditional medicines and jointly enhance clinical treatment capability against COVID-19.

Dino Kusnadi, Chargé d'affaires of the Indonesian Embassy in China, Dr. Ina Rosalina, Director of Traditional Health Services of the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Mr. Zhu Haidong, Deputy Director-General of International Cooperation of NATCM, Dr. Fathema, CEO of Indonesia Health Care Group and Prof. Dr. Agus Purwadianto, President of Indonesian Complementary Traditional Health Professional Association, attended the conference and delivered remarks.
