Your Excellency,

  On the occasion of the 56th Anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, on behalf of the Government of the People’s Republic of China and in my own name, I have the honour to extend to Your Excellency and, through Your Excellency to the Government of the People’s Republic of Indonesia, my warm congratulations and best wishes.
  Both China and Indonesia are big developing countries in Asia. It has been an established long-term policy of the Chinese Government to strengthen the friendly relationship of good-neighbourliness and cooperation with Indonesia.  We are happy to witness that the friendly exchange and cooperation in political, economic, trade and other fields between China and Indonesia have been taking on a good momentum of development over the recent years. The two sides have also made positive progress in implementing the Joint Statement on the Future Directions of Bilateral Cooperation. I would like to work together with Your Excellency to continue to push forward the relationship of good-neighbourliness, mutual trust and all-round cooperation between our two countries.
