China hoped that Indonesia would honor its commitment to the one-China policy by concrete action, Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing said in Beijing Monday.
Li elaborated on China's stance on the Taiwan issue in a meeting with his Indonesian counterpart Hassan Wirayuda.
China hoped that Indonesia could take into consideration the overall situation of the Sino-Indonesian strategic partnership, regional peace and stability, said Li.
The Chinese foreign minister also voiced China's readiness to provide more assistance to the earthquake-hit area of Yogyakarta in Indonesia.
Noting that China and Indonesia are friendly neighbors, big and influential developing countries, Li said bilateral relations between the two countries have a sound basis.
China was willing to join hands with Indonesia to further develop the bilateral strategic partnership, he added.
Hassan said that the Indonesian government attached great importance to the strategic partnership between the two countries and was eager to strengthen dialogue and communication on key international or regional issues, and expand bilateral cooperation in various fields.
Hassan reiterated that Indonesia would continue to adhere to the one-China policy. He also expressed his appreciation to China's aid to its quake-struck areas.
