Sun Weide holds fast breaking ceremony with participants of Indonesian Senior Diplomats Visiting Program

On June 14, Mr. Sun Weide, Charge d'Affaires and Minister Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia held fast breaking ceremony with all the participants of the Indonesian Senior Diplomats Visiting Program. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Odo Manuhutu, the Director of Center of Education and Training of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representatives of the previous batch, Counselor Mr. Pan Yonglu, Counselor Mr. Xu Hangtian, heads of relevant departments and representatives of Chinese embassy.

In his remarks, Mr. Sun said that China and Indonesia are good neighbors, good friends and good partners. With the continuous development of China-Indonesia relationship, diplomats of both countries should strengthen their understanding of each other. All of the guests present tonight come from Indonesian government, media and academia and play an important role in China-Indonesia cooperation. Mr. Sun said he wished all the participants could be the ambassador of friendship between China and Indonesia and present a more objective and comprehensive image of China to their colleagues, friends and families and promote exchanges between the two countries.

Mr. Odo Manuhutu expressed gratitude to the Chinese embassy for inviting the senior Indonesian diplomats to visit China. He said China-Indonesia relationship has been developing at a fast pace in recent years. Both sides should narrow the perception gap and promote bilateral relations through more frequent mutual visits. Indonesian side expected further cooperation in the area of education and training. Other participants spoke highly of the development achievement of China and said they had a more comprehensive understanding of China after the visit and wished to contribute to the future development of bilateral relationship.

At the invitation of the Chinese embassy in Indonesia, the participants of the 56th batch of Sesparlu as well as representatives from the media and academia visited Beijing, Shenzhen and Guangzhou from June 3 to June 12. During the visit, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Liu Zhenmin met with the delegation in Beijing. They also attended training programs in China Foreign Affairs University and visited renowned enterprises such as JD, Huawei and DJI.
